Marilyn Brachman Hoffman devoted her life to studying complex health and environmental issues, leaving behind an extensive body of academic and scientific writing that reflected both her curiosity and her commitment to public well-being.

Alongside her philanthropic work, she became known for her approach to learning, believing that science and creativity could improve people’s lives.

Marilyn’s interests centred on questions surrounding Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, air quality, and the ways environmental exposures influence health and quality of life.

Her interest was driven by a desire to better understand the underlying causes of these complex issues and to encourage continued scientific inquiry where important questions remained unanswered.
